The Young Wives’ Club used to put on parties with entertainment and food. On this occasion, ladies living on the estate were invited while members of the club entertained them with a song and dance show. The performance was held in the Bata Hotel ballroom. The performers dressed in “Flapper” costumes. The programme included “Don’t Bring Lulu”, “My Old Man (Said Follow the Van)” and “Give Me the Moonlight”.
