Thomas was a Leading Aircraftman with the R.A.F. Service No: 1451764
He was the son of Neil and Mary J. McLeary of Old Penshaw, Co. Durham.
Thomas joined the Company before he was 16 and worked there for 2 years before joining the R.A.F in 1941.
He died on Wednesday 11th July 1945, aged 22 and is buried in Penshaw (All Saints) Churchyard.
