The Cleaning Has Begun

Although it will be a long job, our volunteers have begun cleaning some of the items recovered from the library.  Old fashioned elbow grease, soft toothbrushes, plenty of warm soapy water and good humour has had some success with the bust of Tomas Bata.

The ‘before’ and ‘after’ shots of one of the cherished winners’ shields illustrate well the effect of smoke and how the hard work can pay off!
