Ronald Pritchard was an Able Seaman ( DEMS Gunner) in the Royal Navy aboard S.S.Ocean Crusader. Service No: C/JX 353752
He was the son of William John and Mary Hannah Pritchard of Kentish Town, London.
Prior to the war he worked as an Edge Setter in Department 421 of the Leather Factory at East Tilbury for 4 years.
He died in action sunk by a German U boat U-262 on Thursday 26th November 1942, aged 18.
He commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial.
Ronald was the brother of Cliff Pritchard whose memories are also to be found on this website.
