Born in Canada he came to England when he was 9 with his father, mother and his brother and sister on board Cunard Aquitania thrid class from New York and arrived in Southampton 5 October 1931 . Jerome Belec, who’s home was in Horndon on the Hill was a member of the wages department before he joined the R.A.F.
Jerome had a sister, Jeanne, born in 1923 and a brother, Roger, born in 1925, both of whom lived in the United States of America in later life.
He died on Thursday 6th April 1944,
