SYDNEY MANSFIELD

Sydney Mansfield was a Flight Sergeant, Pilot with 100 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

He was the son of Herbert William and Ada Alice Mansfield of Chatham.

Whilst at East Tilbury he worked in Department 1102 (Control).

He had joined the R.A.F. in 1941 and was reported missing from Air Operations in 1944. Sydney died on Friday 23rd June, 1944, age 21 and is buried in St Pierre Cemetery, Amiens.
