HORACE CUTHBERT PAGE

Horace Page was a Sergeant with 50 Squadron Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

Service No:  908004

He was the son of Walter J.W. and Frances Mary Page of Pitsea, Essex.

Prior to the war he was a Foreman in Department 324 of the Rubber Factory. He had initially worked on the Conveyors but had been promoted to Manipulator, then chief manipulator in Department 300.

His father and sister were also employed by the Bata Shoe Company at East Tilbury.

Horace Page was reported missing after a raid on enemy territory and his body was recovered by the German authorities near the French port of La Rochelle on the Bay of Biscay. He was buried at  PORNIC WAR CEMETERY.
