HENRY JAMES SHORT.
When Henry James Short was born on 14 February 1917 in Orsett, Essex, his father, Henry was 29 and his mother Alice Jane ( nee Cobb) was 25.
He had worked at Bata East Tilbury for 18 months before enlisting for Military Service in October 1939 and was barely 24 when he died.
Driver Henry Short of Kent Road Grays was killed in a road accident at Aldershot on 1st March 1941.

He was riding a motor cycle on Military business for the Royal Army Service Corps, when he was involved in a collision with another Military vehicle, and he died from his injuries.
He is buried in the Aldershot Military Cemetery.
