A Army person that was put on Memorial in error, The story : It was know from the Bata Record that Arthur Letch was killed in action in 1942. Readers will recall that several months ago it was reported in these columns that Arthur Letch of Basildon, was believed to have been killed in a road accident. His parents have now received information that he was killed as a result of an accident while on duty, but not on the road. He was a member of a bomb disposal squad. Bata Record : 27-02-1942
