Emily Bing was killed by a direct hit by a bomb on her home at 69 Rectory Road, Grays, Essex on 21st October 1940.She was 16 years old and worked in the Sewing Department in the Leather Factory. After the explosion rescuers found Emily blown out into the garden critically injured and she died shortly after.

Emily was the daughter of Donald Walter B and Gertrude Helena Bing.
