ARTHUR .GEORGE.WRIGHT
Arthur Wright was a Sergeant with 540 Squadron Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

He was the eldest son of Arthur William and Kate Mary Wright of Shoeburyness and joined the Bata Company in 1938, leaving for the R.A.F. in July 1941.
Arthur died on Sunday 13th June 1943, aged 21. Reported missing in 1943 following a flight over Germany. It is understood unofficially that he was flying a Mosquito the world’s fasters bomber on a photographic reconnaissance following a heavy raid by the R.A.F on a big industrial centre. Arthur Wright had done his flying training at Swift Current in Canada.
